My name is Sandy and I'm from the city of Antigua.
I live in the city of Quetzaltenango (known locally as Xela). I have 10 years of experience working as a Spanish teacher in various schools in Xela. For me, teaching Spanish is a passion! It gives me great satisfaction to help realise the aspirations of my students when learning this beautiful language. Furthermore I believe teaching Spanish is also about teaching the culture and way of thinking in Latin America.
I have a degree in teaching primary and high school education from University San Carlos de Guatemala, and am ELE qualified. In addition I have taught Spanish at various universities, so have had experience of teaching students of all levels. Also I am qualified to be an official examiner for DELE examinations.
Before joining Spanish Marks, I was the head teacher at another Spanish school based in Xela which offered online lessons to students abroad. Therefore I have extensive experience in giving online lessons. I have also written Spanish textbooks for various schools.
